At Last..  After years of searching. High Quality ShackTune Bottom ball joints.. To Suit.  The Triumph 2000 range of cars and Triumph Stag. The new bottom ball joints available, all look the same.. Sadly, the quality of all the ones I have tried over the years, Has been questionable. The only way to get a reliable unit, was to buy New Old Stock Lockheed originals.. Until now. I have sourced in the EU a batch of exceptional quality ball joints.. These differ from all others - - The internal socket has radial grooves to allow grease to penetrate around the moving parts. - The rubber boot is not a re-purposed track rod end boot, it is designed specifically for this purpose. - There is a shoulder to stop the boot collapsing in on itself, this stops the boot from funnelling water to the internals. - The boot and retaining clips do not need to be removed, to fit the joint in the arm. - The nut has a fine thread.. And the washer has the correct sized hole in. - New retaining circlip supplied. - And finally, A grease nipple to allow one stroke of grease every 5000 miles.
