A Pair ShackTune Triumph 2000 2.5Pi 2.5S mk2 Wheel Cylinders.. Also Mk1 when fitted with mk2 brake back plates.

This pair of cylinders are specifically designed to resolve the problem of the rear wheel cylinders seizing up over time. The standard available wheel cylinders rust very quickly internally, causing them to seize solid.... and in turn wear out the rear shoes very rapidly.. This problem is caused by less than satisfactory steel quality.. The only remedy is to fit a new pair of shoes and another pair of wheel cylinders.....

The ShackTune wheel cylinders have been stripped, checked, hardened, micro polished piston & bore and then hand assembled.

This detailed and time consuming work means they should last considerably longer, thus allowing years of trouble free service.. It also means the cylinder body and piston are no longer a consumable, with a simple seal replacement being needed later in life. The hardening process reduces the risk of the bleed nipple and hard line pipe rusting solid in the back of the cylinder body..
